ORYC NASCAR COMPETITION RULES
1. $25.00 entry fee
due February 19th at 1:00 - along with your first race sheet.
2. The race
schedule is divided into five (5) seven or eight race segments for a total of
36 races.
3. You will receive
five individual sheets for each of the five segments. You pick your drivers and turn each sheet into the club by NOON
on the due date listed on each sheet.
The due dates are:
Sheet 1 Races 1-7 Sunday,
Feb. 19 - NOON
Sheet 2 Races 8-14 Saturday - April 22 - NOON
Sheet 3 Races 15-22 Sunday,
June 18 - NOON
Sheet 4 Races 23-29 Sunday,
August 20 - NOON
Sheet 5 Races 30-36 Sunday, October 8 - NOON
4. You must
pick a different driver for each race on each individual sheet. This will allow you to pick your favorite
driver five times during the year (once for each sheet).
EXCEPTION: For the last race of the year you can
pick your favorite driver again.
5. You will receive the points where your driver finishes: Example -
if he finishes 1st you get one point, if he finishes 5th
you get five points, or if he finishes 40th you get 40 points.
* If your driver does not qualify for the race, you take the highest
place finish plus one.
* If you don’t have your race sheet in at the club by the due date,
you receive the highest place finish plus two for each race your sheet is
delinquent.
* If you make a mistake and pick the same driver twice on an
individual sheet, you receive the highest place finish plus two for each
mistake.
* Remember “THE CAR NUMBER RULE”. If your driver is injured and someone else takes his place, you get the points where the car finishes. If your driver switches teams, you get the points for the car originally picked.
* We will try to keep an up to date point total for each participant on the bulletin board at the club. Also, you can get the latest point totals and race sheets at “www.oryc100.org/Oryc.html”
* At the end of the season, in case of a tie, monies will be divided
by adding the tied places money and dividing by the amount of contestants tied
* Don’t forget to print your name on each sheet you turn in. Sheets should be put in the NASCAR envelope
on the bulletin board.

Ø OPTIONAL
FRONT RUNNER AWARD - for an extra $5.00 winner(s) take all for the
person who picks the most first place finishes.
Ø If your
driver wins a race from the pole, you get “0” points.
Ø You can

Ø The pool
will pay three or five places depending on the number of participants (5 places
if over 30
